How to Repair a Broken Window

Depending on the extent of the crack, there are several ways you can repair it. Here are a few options to consider.

Tape

A good old-fashioned roll of tape is a great temporary solution for cracks in windows. It's simple to use, inexpensive and effective. Cover both sides of the cracked area to ensure it's as secure as you can. This will reduce the amount of air that could enter the window which can cause further damage to the glass or even shatter. Clear tape is a great option since it looks much better than duct tape and won't leave a sticky residue once you take it off.

Paint
