The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good choice if you're looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard flooring. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the push of a button. You can select an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or two thorough mappings of your space to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.

This Bagless robot vacuum vacuum is effective on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, bagless robot vacuum however iRobot says it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has an improved filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot vacuum black friday that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is even better - its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than a vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, generate very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without interruption. If it comes into contact with the wall or a furniture piece it gently bumps into it before moving along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something needs attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even if you are not at home. It also comes with more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating clean tough stains and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also excellent, and it increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These are nice features but they also make the L10s more of a premium category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving through the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the settings menu of the app where you can modify how the L10s Ultra works with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to help you map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively and avoid getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops are also quite efficient, removing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
